How do you do it?
It’s pretty simple. We agree on the focus of our engagement. (This often evolves during our work together.)
1-hour sessions are scheduled at your convenience. Every meeting focuses on a topic you choose, how it is meaningful to you, what a good outcome would look like, and how you’d measure that.
Open-ended questioning about your needs and concerns leads to clarity and new solutions.
The techniques and standards established by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) anchor my thinking partner engagements.
How do you show up?
Being open, engaged, curious, and kind for every engagement and client session.
What do clients value?
My extreme honesty, intense focus, provocative thinking, and ability to quickly distill and simplify complex issues.
What are your qualifications?
Over 25 years consulting entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial types envision, launch, tweak, and revitalize business initiatives.
My focus was on marketing strategy, merchandising strategy, creative direction, product development, and organizational change.

What industries?
The executive coaching/thinking partner techniques I use are not industry-specific. Most of my professional career involved consulting in Internet commerce, with related deep experience in direct marketing, retail, and home furnishings product development.
How are engagements structured?
Every engagement is different. Generally, clients begin with a 5-session package that includes a standardized strengths assessment. For clients who decide to continue, many opt for a 6-month 19-session package.
Every engagement includes phone, text, and email consultation between sessions on an as-needed basis during weekday business hours.
What about confidentiality?
Everything discussed in sessions or correspondence is strictly confidential. The exceptions would be if a client has broken the law and I am contacted by law enforcement, or I believe that a client’s health is in danger.
Do you have suggestions for professionals who work at developing teams or helping leaders transition?
Yes.
For senior executives transitioning up to the C-Suite or out to new opportunities, consider Maxine Dotseth at StepUp Growth.
To effectively tell your story and build harmonious teams, consider Julienne Ryan at J. Ryan Partners.
